Good Practice of the Year Award 2016 Edition

In 2016, RGI’s ‘Good Practice of the Year’ award once again attracted an array of amazing applications, the most exciting and ground-breaking of which we have collected in this brochure. All of them have been jury favourites in the submission process and have been judged as most commendable and worth being shared with a large audience. By presenting those practices in this brochure, we wish to reward actors who test innovative approaches and inspire others to replicate them or find their own way of overcoming technical, participatory and environmental challenges in grid development.

The award explicitly honours exceptional practices, not entire grid projects, in the three categories “Technology & Design”, “Environmental Protection” and “Communication & Participation”. Each of the projects that are being honoured as the most outstanding in their respective categories, feature approaches or components that set them apart form the other entries.
