Join the Horizon Europe projects JustWind4All and WIMBY for their joint final event in Brussels. Together, we reflect on how co-produced knowledge, innovative tools, and inclusive governance approaches can accelerate wind energy deployment in a just and effective way.

Agenda

Objective: Set the stage by acknowledging the realities implementers face and introducing practical tools and insights from the projects.

Target audience: Municipalities, regional governments, implementers

 

Opening framing (5 min) — Why bridging the gap between EU policy and local reality matters now.

Projects’ input (15 min) — Short, focused presentations from JW4A and WIMBY highlighting tools & resources relevant to implementers.

Opening panel (30 min) — “What do implementers need to plan just and effective wind?” with speakers from WindEurope, The Nature Conservancy, ICLEI, and Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition.

Co-creation dialogue / Moderated discussion with audience (25 min) — “How can EU projects better support your work?” capturing practical recommendations.

Participants can enjoy their lunch while browsing a selection of posters, stands, and stakeholder tools

Amanda Schibline

Amanda joined RGI in October 2020 and is a Manager – Socio-energy systems. Her work on several Horizon Europe projects focuses on stakeholder engagement in energy system modelling and the just transition. She brings expertise in energy efficiency and energy justice, along with additional past experience in teaching, advocacy, and research. Amanda has an MBA in Building Sustainability from Technische Universität Berlin, a BA in Political Science and Environmental Policy from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire in the United States and spent time studying environmental governance at Linnaeus University in Växjo, Sweden.
