RGI Grid Awards celebrate 10 Years: Good Practices from Peru, Germany and Ireland take home trophies – Special recognition award goes to Spain

28 November 2023 – The Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI) celebrated the 10th anniversary of its good practice awards at the European Commission’s ‘PCI Energy Days’ today.

In the ‘Technological Innovation & System Integration’ category: Increasing the Rate of Change Frequency limit to +/– 1 Hz/s by EirGrid and SONI

In the ‘Communication & Engagement’ category: Building resilient communities and healthcare through renewables by EcoSwell

In the ‘Environmental Protection’ category: Ecological corridor management in overhead line corridors by E.ON

Stephanie Bätjer

Stephanie Bätjer is leading the Renewables Grid Initiative’s communication and event activities as Programme Manager – Communication. She is also heavily involved in RGI’s policy work and all activities that look at social engagement around grids. She previously worked in the communications team of the European Climate Foundation. Stephanie has studied at the Universities of Marburg and Hamburg, Germany, and the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. She holds degrees in political science and journalism.
