As Europe accelerates wind energy deployment, how do we ensure the process is not only fast—but also just and effective? The Horizon Europe project JustWind4All and RGI held an interactive EUSEWwebinar exploring how regional “Wind Labs” are advancing just and effective wind governance. The session showcased insights from local co-production processes in Bulgaria, Portugal, Germany, and the North Sea basin—where community needs, planning gaps, and sectoral tensions intersect with national and EU priorities.
Participants heard from the Wind Labs, explored early lessons from real-world experimentation, and discussed how to scale these approaches across Europe. The event also featured reflections from ICLEI Europe and eco-union, linking local insights to Fast & Fair Renewables & Grids and insights on local ownership, participation and structural justice.
