Jeremy Rifkin and Bente Hagem discussing "The Importance of Big Data for the Energiewende" in Berlin

On 15 April, more than 100 participants listened to Jeremy Rifkin's keynote speech on the internet of things and the third industrial revolution at the event "The Importance of Big Data for the Energiewende" in Berlin.

In his inspiring presentation, he asked the audience to do everything in their hands to maintain the current trends in the Communication, Energy and Logistics Internet. Bente Hagem, Chairperson-elect of the board of ENTSO-E, reflected Rifkin's remarks with her vision for the electricity sector in the next five years.

The event was co-organised by RGI and Stiftung Mercator as part of the Berliner Stiftungswoche.
