RGI warmly welcomes our newest Member, IPTO – The Independent Power Transmission Operator of Greece

We are excited to be a part of the Renewables Grid Initiative, a leading European platform in the changing energy landscape, bolstering collaboration among key stakeholders, in the critical juncture of green transition. The shift towards sustainable, climate-neutral energy systems calls for coordinated action across grid operators, policymakers, NGOs, and beyond. In this context, IPTO’s participation in RGI will be of mutual benefit. We aim to contribute valuable insights drawn from Greece’s evolving experience with the integration of renewable energy sources, while also learning from our colleagues across Europe. We look forward to a dynamic exchange of best practices in areas such as policy advocacy, public engagement, transparency, and innovation. Together, we can help accelerate the development of critical grid infrastructure projects that support a just, net-zero, and sustainable energy future for all European consumers.”
