New Website Launch: Offshore Coalition for Energy and Nature (OCEaN)

We are happy to announce that the new OCEaN webpage is launched with a brand new design and additional features for improved knowledge sharing and user experience. OCEaN is a coalition of 23 Members which joined forces one year ago to cooperate on the sustainable deployment of offshore wind, while ensuring alignment with nature protection and healthy marine ecosystems.

The Ocean Coalition for Energy and Nature (OCEaN) consists of 23 European Members representing NGOs, the wind industry and TSOs (transmission system operators). These Members have signed a common Memorandum of Understanding and joined forces one year ago to cooperate on the sustainable deployment of offshore wind, while ensuring alignment with nature protection and healthy marine ecosystems. RGI acts as the convener and moderator of the group as well as being a founding Member.

Today we are proud to have launched the new OCEaN website with a brand new design and additional features for improved knowledge sharing and user experience. These features are meant to support OCEaN's mission of providing an open forum for discussion and knowledge exchange.

In addition to the new design, the website now also contains:

  • Extended information about the work of the working groups (website texts agreed by OCEaN members),
  • a news section,
  • a searchable media database,
  • an offshore practices database (once finalised by the OCEaN Impacts and Engagement Working Group),
  • and a members area to share and keep an overview of all ongoing work within the working groups.
