Red Eléctrica

Red Eléctrica is the sole transmission agent and operator (TSO) of the Spanish electricity system. The Company carries out this mission under the principles of neutrality, transparency, and independence, with the aim of providing a secure, efficient electricity service of maximum quality for society as a whole. As the company responsible for transmission and operation of the Spanish electricity system, Red Eléctrica works, on a daily basis, on the development of grids and in the implementation of efficiency measures in the processes associated to the operation of the system, to help achieve the objectives related to climate change and to reduce our dependence on foreign energy. They develop the necessary transmission infrastructures and implement new technical operation solutions, through their Control Centre of Renewable Energies (CECRE), in order to maximise the safe integration of these energies into the electricity system.
