Please note that these positions are unpaid.

Internship tasks will depend on what the priority projects are at the time of the internship – the following list gives an overview in what they can include:

  • support the RGI team in on-going projects
  • engage in team discussions on how to further develop these projects
  • research, e.g. in the fields of energy policy, energy technology and environmental protection
  • assistance in workshop planning and implementation
  • support in website administration
  • attend relevant events, report back the insights to the team
  • learn how a small and agile NGO functions
  • see how to facilitate the interaction between grid developing industry and the nature protection community
  • use the time with RGI as an opportunity to learn more about the specific climate and energy issues that interest you most
  • share with the RGI team any insights on topics you may have that we are keen to learn about  

You should bring the following qualifications:

  • a first degree or currently be going through your studies (ideally environmental studies, political science, energy engineering or a related field)
  • interest in and a good knowledge of the most important (European) energy and climate issues
  • excellent English language skills (fluent/native speaker-level)
  • strong communication skills
  • good administrative and computer skills (Microsoft office and CMS)
  • attention to detail
  • the ability to work independently
